in the bare fact of meeting that day,
before judgment, before liking or disliking.
A good day does not arrive. It is recognised.
Origin
A teaching of Yunmen Wenyan, recorded in the Blue Cliff Record (Case 6).
Seal
Cut by hand in Tokyo by the artist. The angle of the blade and the depth of the stroke decide where the ink bleeds and where it holds. No imprint repeats.
