Returns accepted

• Clear printing defects or manufacturing faults.
• The wrong item shipped.
• Damage during transit, when reported with photographs.

For any of the above, write to studio@hosen.tokyo within 14 days of arrival.

Returns not accepted

• Wrong size or subjective colour preference at the customer's discretion.
• Items that have been worn or washed.
• Notice received more than 14 days after arrival.
• Sale or special-edition items, where stated.

Consumers in the EU and the UK (right of withdrawal)

Consumers resident in the EU/EEA and the UK may cancel the order within 14 days of arrival without giving a reason. Although each garment is made to order, the design is a fixed seal not specified by the customer, so this right is not restricted.

• Send notice to studio@hosen.tokyo.
• Once the item is returned, the full price (shipping included) is refunded within 14 days to the original payment method.
• Return shipping is the customer's cost, except for defects or mis-ships.
• The "Returns not accepted" list above does not affect this right.

Australian consumers

Consumers in Australia have rights under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010) that cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified. Nothing in these conditions limits those rights.

Refunds

After the returned item is inspected, the price and round-trip shipping are refunded in full through Stripe. Card statements typically reflect the refund within 5–10 business days, depending on the issuer.

Return shipping

• Defects and mis-ships: covered by hosen.
• Customer preference, where accepted: covered by the customer.

On the individuality of the seal

Each seal is hand-carved in Tokyo by the artist Satake Hōsen. Variations in bleed, gaps, and minor placement are part of the technique, not defects, and are kept as evidence of the artist's hand.
