The place of practice is not bound to a hall or a mountain.
Where such a mind stands, the ground of the way is already there.
Origin
From the Vimalakīrti Sutra, the Bodhisattva chapter, where the layman Vimalakīrti answers the youth Glorious Light: "the straightforward mind is the place of practice, for it is without falsity."
Seal
Cut by hand in Tokyo by the artist. The angle of the blade and the depth of the stroke decide where the ink bleeds and where it holds. No imprint repeats.
